Barnes Third Symphony, Banda de Música R. e C. de Bandeira

Post by AHynds »

There's a chance that the Wind Symphony at my school will be playing this piece later in the semester [cue girlish squeal], and I was looking up different recordings of the pieces just to hear some different takes on the piece, particularly the introductory tuba solo. I found this video, and I was curious to know if anyone can place a name on the tuba player for me. Nice playing, and I like his take on the solo. So, anyone got a name for me?

Thanks,
Aaron H.

I have a recording of the Air Force band from DC playing it. I definitely prefer the recording of the Air Force band to this one. I also like the solo interpretation better from the Air Force band recording.
