Well, if this is in the wrong place let me know.
This is a video clip from a James Bond Movie, there is a helicon in the brass band, who knows, what kind of helicon is it?

Link added!
After googling around a little I'm under the impression that it's Alan Jaffe playing a Buescher.

When I first read the topic, I was wondering if this was a re-titled Christmas song. I'm just sayin'.

Yes, Allan Jaffe played often with Olympia Brass, and that is him in the clip. They had a long running gig at Preservation Hall. I think that is his Buescher, but possibly not the one with the detachable bell.

If I remember correctly, Allan Jaffe (1935-87) played a Buescher helicon. It was ancient.

I played a 1930s Buescher sousaphone when I was in high school. Except for the bell, it looked very similar.

Allan had quite a collection of old Helicons - he kept them in a side room of Preservation Hall. I got to play a few of them in the early 1980s when I went to Jazzfest.
His main touring horn was a new-ish Buescher with a detachable bell.
I don't think this is the detachable one.

Much better video quality on this version of the James Bond - Olympia Band Funeral Dirge.
