I have a great recording of Mahler's Third Symphony by Seiji Ozawa and the Boston Symphony with Jesse Norman as soloist. The tubist sounds fantastic with this dense, weighy sound and I was wondering who the tubist would be in that recording?

Chester Schmitz was the tuba player with the BSO when this recording was made so I assume he played on it. His sound was incredible. It was a huge orchestral sound with wonderful clarity and color.
