I see over on DJML that Kabin Thomas is playing tuba in this new film. I have not seen it yet, but the music is supposed to be very good - early 1930s era jazz, blues and circus band music.
Can't tell much by the sample soundtrack clips at Amazon, but I did hear some tuba on one track.

at least he gets a credit listing!

I heard Barnum and Bailey's Favorite played rather constantly throughout this wonderful movie.

I heard quite a bit of tuba when the band for the "Benzini Brothers Circus" comes it. It was always the same music, with the same tuba part, but it was good.

The movie, on the other hand, is excellent (if you haven't seen it). I saw it for my second time yesterday. Definitely worth a view!

I believe that Jim Self was the main tubist for this film, as he spoke to me about it several times during the scoring process. He is quite the history buff, so I think this film spoke to him a several levels.
