CSO's Beyond the Score for Bartok's The Miraculous Mandarin

Post by AHynds »

I've been writing a research paper on Bartok's The Miraculous Mandarin, and I watched this video today to get some more background on the piece. There are some pretty hefty tuba parts, and after seeing a close shot of the tubist, I noticed that it wasn't Mr. Pokorny. Does anyone know who this might be? There's a good shot of the tubist from 46:40 to 47:00 (along with a pretty beefy low G sharp).
