The Producers (1968 Movie)

Post by pierso20 »

I was watching this film last night with my wife (hilarious movie, of course).

There is a repeated tuba solo that occurs when the plays German author is introduced (I think).

Who plays this? It is a VERY recognizable sound.

You can hear it right in the beginning of this clip (hilarious clip, too!)

At least I think it's a tuba. :)

From what I could find of the credits it looks like the soundtrack was done in New York at National Recording Studio. Based on the location, the time frame, and the sound on the clip I'm going to guess Jonathon Dorn. I hope someone out there knows for sure.
