Cartoon Music Question

Post by Cameron Gates »

Does anyone out there know who plays tuba on the cartoon "Oswald"? The show runs every day on the cable channel for children called Noggin.

If you have not seen the show, watch it. The constant tuba playing is great.

I would be shocked if a real tuba is used on a cable TV show. The budgets usually don't allow it. The composer may have a friend who plays, but I highly doubt it isn't anything but a great sample. Of course, I haven't seen the show so what do I know?

It is a real tuba, chipped notes and all.

I watch Oswald quite a bit these days; in fact, it is one of the best kid shows out there. The music is live, and I am pretty sure that the player plays Euphonium and tuba, possibly including F tuba (not that an f tuba is not a REAL tuba!). It is some of the nicest stuff I've heard in quite a long time.

Oswald

Yes, Oswald is an octopus. I am dying to find out who plays tuba and give them their props.
