I know a few people it could be, but does anyone know for sure?

I'm not 100% sure, but given the time that "1776" it was produced for the silver screen from the Broadway musical, Tommy Johnson would be my best guess. He was very busy during those years. It's one of the few films we never discussed during my lessons with him or when I was working as a copyist and session librarian and would see Tommy on a recording date. I'll check with Jim Self and see if he can shed any light on this.

Cheers!

Tommy Johnson was the tuba on most of 1776. I did one or two sessions when he was busy elsewhere. Jim
