San Francisco Symphony/MTT's recording of John Adams' Harmonielehre. Cooley or Anderson? Think it's 2012… Few things as satisfying with the headphones on as those big washes of section brass.

If it's 2012 I don't think it would be Floyd :o

Harmonielehre has 2 tuba parts, so the question is still valid....

I've been lucky enough to do all the SFS recordings for the past 12 seasons. Peter Warhaftig played the 2nd part on that recording.

Thanks for the response. I've been thoroughly enjoying most every SFS recording since around 2000. The American Mavericks series has some great interpretations of contemporary works and the Mahler cycle has become one of the most oft-played in my collection.
Parts of the 2001 Mahler 6 border on the terrifying. What an incredible document that album is.
