RoughRiders

Post by EdFirth »

I saw and HEARD this 2 part movie yesterday and though I came for the TR ,I left with an earful of , maybe the best recorded tuba sound ever. The movie is in two parts. It's from 1997, Tom Berrinfer is Tr, Brian Keith is President McKinly, and also features Gary Busey and Sam Elliot. It's dated 1997. There may have been multiple guys on this but the first half of the movie blew me away. If someone KNOWS who it was, or played on it themselves, great. What a Great Sound!!! Ed

The theme was written by Elmer Bernstein and conducted by his son, Peter Bernstein.

I could find information about the film and the music but not any of the personnel in the orchestra.

Peter Bernstein does have a website with a contact for his representation. Perhaps, if you wished to pursue it, they could give you the info. In the section, "Music", there are samples of Peter Bernstein's movie work to hear including samples of the work from "RoughRiders". You might enjoy hearing them.
