I recently purchased a new recording of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, performed by the Seattle Symphony with Ludovic Morlot conducting. According to the liner notes, this was recorded in June of 2014. Fantastic recording, with great playing throughout the orchestra, especially the tuba. I'm assuming Chris Olka is playing first. Anyone know who was playing the 2nd tuba part for this?

Chris told me and I don't remember for sure; but I think it was Jon Hill (http://www.learningmusician.com/jkhill). Jon is the proud owner of one of the three YamaYorks in Seattle. (Although I doubt he used the YamaYork on Rite of Spring.)

That's right, Mark. Jonathan Hill. Great player and guy! He used YFB822 if memory serves. I should listen to the recording. Never heard it.
