I just attended a brilliant performance of John Adams' Harmonielehre. A wonderful piece of music, and the tuba performance was (as always) top notch. Does anyone know who is playing 2nd Tuba this weekend? It looked like it could have been Peter Wahrhaftig, but I've only seen a couple pictures of him, and I could not really tell from my lower balcony seats. Whoever it was played with great musicianship, and he and Mr. Pokorny complimented each other perfectly. I highly recommend checking out one of the remaining performances if you are near Chicago this weekend.
