Who played tuba ....
.... on the ORIGINAL Star Trek. There were some WONDERful tuba parts and the playing is tremendous. Also, who played those old "Flintstones" cartoons? This guy (or gal) had to have the 'sound effects' down pat.

Re: Who played tuba ....
I've read that the tuba player on most of the old Hanna-Barbera soundtracks such as "The Flintstones" was Tommy Johnson.
The best and most prominent Star Trek TOS tuba part comes from the first pilot, "The Cage," which was later incorporated into the two-part episode, "The Menagerie."

George Bouje played tuba on many (most) of the Flintstones cartoons.
He also recorded Tubby the Tuba with Danny Kaye.
He was the staff tuba player at MGM in the 40's and 50's
