George Boujie

He was te staff tubaist at MGM. He played an origanal York 4/4 CC. It is now owned by Jim Self.

Beautiful looking and playing tuba.

Norm, you are a great source of knowledge about the Los Angeles scene, past and present. I watched the LAPO Hollywood Bowl Verdi Requiem performance on PBS tonight. Do you know who was playing cimbasso? It looked to be a huge instrument. Wonder what the details are-----manufacturer, bore, pitch, etc.

I've been told that George played most of the Flintstones sound track too. Anyone know for sure? Ed

The guy holding the bass looks like Zeppo Marx to me (the one on the right in this picture).
