In the multiverse there is a TubeNet where we talk about how we greased our cat with toothpaste and hot sauce so it would fly better in the rain. Even then someone would ask whether the cat was lacquered or silver plated.

You're referring to that last movement of the third horn concerto played on a travel tuba (with the Eb slide)...
...or one of the other tracks...??

You know... all that BAT playing. It was *everywhere* in the soundtrack. You know...

The soundtrack was conducted by Sir Neville Mariner with the Academy of St. Martin in-the-Fields Orchestra. It was recorded in 1984, you would have to find out who was playing tuba with the Academy at that time.

Since they do not usually use tuba, It would most likely be a contract position.

I bet if you contact Owen Slade he could help you find out. He has done tons of recording for the soundstages in London and probably knows.

It is Hollywood. They might have insisted on tuba, because the vital 18-22 demographic wants tuba.
