Agreed, here is some advice,
1) Get a job or two and save money.
2) Realize that getting a symphony job that pays all of the bills is unreasonable.
3) Realize that all of us have been where you are now and no one is going to pay for your tuba except you.

FWIW, the three most expensive horns I have owned have a combined cost of less than $10k.
I've been lucky to have other good horns lent or loaned out to me.
