Prove it.....the odd thing is that if anyone remembers, Stan Freese "premiered" this bit of tuba history on "Hee-Haw". I remember seeing it as a kid and within the past 2 years on one of those country channels.

yes....I believe I have answered this question myself at least four times. It is in fact Stan Freese. His son is Josh Freese who is the drummer for the Vandals and Perfect Circle and featured often in Modern Drummer. Stan is now Vice President of Talent Booking at Disney( I believe that is still his title). He said he had no idea the tuba world was so infatuated with that recording when I asked him about it over cigarettes and coffee. Stan is also on the most recent Queen of the Stone Age Album.
