It's late, and I don't remember the name,
but it was the tuba teacher at Case Western.

When I was in Cleveland, the same guy (CWRU teacher)
played the same part when Boulez came and did the
RoS again. I think I gleaned that bit of info when the topic came up in a Friday low brass studio at cim. The word was that the guy played quite often when a second tuba was needed, and if he wasn't avail., some guy from Chicago would be second call. I'm sure someone currently from Bishopland could be more precise (as I haven't been there in a few years).
