Re: In the "Jesus Christ Superstar Live" performance
Not sure that I read a question in your post, but it was the 4/1/2018 live event with John Legend and Sara Bareilles that was rebroadcast (hardly valid to still call it live) . . . . I guess I'm showing my age . . . I thought it was OK, but far prefer the original . . .
This seems to have decent credits, but musicians are not stated by instrument, just "Orchestra": https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6874964/fullcredits" target="_blank" target="_blank
The only thing I noted consistent with being a live event was that they utterly botched the mix on the begining of the original broadcast, in having no low end instruments in it as I recall for 15 mins or so. (It ended up on my DVR - no change on the rebroadcast.)
Alice Cooper as King Herod was a hoot though!

I always wanted to play the electric bass part to “What’s the buzz...”
I am committed to the advancement of civil rights, minus the Marxist intimidation and thuggery of BLM.

Probably his best performance in many years. And it was that song that definitely had a tuba.tadawson wrote:Alice Cooper as King Herod was a hoot though!
I knew it was a rebroadcast, but I see it the same as any recording of a live performance. And I thoroughly enjoyed it.
