Burble on 2nd Valve
As much as I love my Besson, I'm getting a burble on the 2nd valve, up and down. All the usual suspects have been checked, including emptying valve slides, double checking the ports and slides for grunge, fresh wipedown and oiling of the valves & casings, alignment on the valve keys good, corks & felts proper thickness, etc., and I just got it back from a good going over the valve block from my tech. When I hold the 2nd valve down ever so slightly, like holding a G with 3d valve (yes, with 3-valve comps the 3rd valve alone is a true alternative to 1&2, and usually better in tune - not slightly sharp) and slurring to a Gb 2&3, or vice versa, there is no burble. Mouthpiece change does not make a difference. Warmed up v cold does not make a difference. Time to vent a valve? Or is it something else? Thanks.

Bloke - Thanks!
After I got home, I took the valves out and alternatively tilted and shook the horn in the directions that all the comp loops would drain. Boy, did they drain! I did not think as small as they were they would hold water, especially being above the main valve slides. But they did, especially the loop coming back through from the third to the second valve. After I shook all the water out, I again wiped everything down, re-oiled and re-assembled. Burble gone! I guesss this is my learning curve for a comp, not having played one before I got this one!
