Actually I think she was charged for the crimes in two different counties. The news is that charges were dropped in one of those locations. I think she is still going to have to do some kind of time. She won't be teaching and she is doing 3 years house arrest. I think...
Anyway she is not available in LA to "teach" tuba as she will be spending some time in Florida for a while.

I'd like to give a plug to a So Cal tuba teacher and fellow TubeNetter Scott Sutherland. He's a good friend of mine now. Just click in his name under search and send him either a pm or e-mail.

Or you could contact ANY of us who hail from Southern California. We don't usually advertise for students because it's such a narrow market. Most of us could fit one or two more private students into our schedules.

I studied with Tommy Johnson as a high school sophomore without references. But you must call him on the telephone. At the time, Roger Bobo was still living in L.A. and he was also taking "unsponsored" students. I don't think it's a matter of reference, it's a matter of communication. And be ready to fork out major dollars for one lesson.
