good lip slur etudes

Post by TUBAMUSICIAN87 »

does anyone know any good lip slur exercises or maybe even an etude? Im not looking for technique tips just something that might be fun to work on while working lip slurs because we all know how boring they can get after a while

Greetings,

I don't know if these will be any more interesting, but I have a number of lip slurs and other exercises on my webpage.

I use the Schlossberg studies for trumpet. They also work very well for tuba.

If you are an ITEA member, go to the pedagogy section of the webpage. There are lots for free downloads. If you are not a member.... shame on you.

You can take any etude and play it completely slurred. It's a good way to make sure you don't have breaks in your buzzing.
