A friend of mine had a Guard gigbag for his trombone and it virtually self destructed after a year of normal (read serious musician) use. He finally had the thing covered with duct tape. I got one of those funky looking "Gig" gigbags used off squeeze-bay for my bass trombone and have had problems with the zippers and otherwise - not to mention a crumpled bell on one tour.
You get what you pay for - don't go cheap on your bag / case.

You probably won't find one that will just scream "HEY...this is a case for a Kalison DS," so...do this:JeremyI wrote:Haven't been able to find anything specifically designed for a Kalison DS...
Kalison DS horns have a 18.75'' bell and 39'' tall
1. Measure the bell and length of your tuba (you did that already)
2. Find a case you're interested in somewhere
3. Compare your measurements to the measurements of the instrument the case was designed for (easily found online)
4. Buy whichever one fits

Here is what I said:
Here is what you said following that advice:Tom wrote: 3. Compare your measurements to the measurements of the instrument the case was designed for (easily found online)
JeremyI wrote: ...most cases I've checked...don't have the dimensions on them, just the horn they were designed for.
