Graduate Tuba Assistantship at the University of Arkansas

Post by Benjamp »

Hi Folks,

I am still seeking applicants for a graduate assistantship in tuba performance here at the U of A beginning this fall, and it's not too late to apply. The assistanship will cover all tuition and pay a stipend of $3400 per year. "Work" requirements are minimal.

Please e-mail or call me with any questions I might be able to answer for you.

Hey Dr. Pierce, I'm currently a Sophomore/Junior tuba player at the Univ. of Central Arkansas. I'm planning on attending grad school whenever I graduate and am seriously considering the U. of Arkansas. So in 2-3 more years I would really be intersted since I've been studying with Dr. Young since I was in 10th grade and I'm burning through everything he throws at me...just letting you know. Oh...and to go off of what Bloke said...Fayetville, Arkansas is one of the best looking towns in the state. It's all hills and in the fall it's gorgeous. And the cost of living is pretty low since most Arkansans make less than $30,000 a year.
