What is the deal with the Miraphone 1291 CC Tuba?

Great horn- close to the best thing ever made, everyone will want one!

Yes, and much more easily than piston valves.

In fact, most Mirafone CC's come from the factory already vented.

Basically, the vent is a small hole drilled between the knuckles going to the valve tubing.

I had a Miraphone 1291 on order from Vince at the Tuba Exchange. I got sick of waiting so I took one from Dillon's instead. Also the drive was a lot less, but anyway, if you feel like dealing with Vince and John Simonetti down there in North Carolina, they just got in a laquer Miraphone 1291 this morning, July 8. I would highly doubt he has anyone else waiting, but it is a great horn, actually I voted for semi-great on my poll thingy, and I encourage you guys, if you're looking for a decent CC Tuba, give this one a shot. That is, only if you feel like dealing with Vince and his god awful voice, if you've ever talked to him you know what I mean...
