Hi all,
There has been some buzz on Tubenet about my new CD, and I wanted to let the readership know that it is now available for purchase on the Sotto Voce Quartet website. Other shops will have it by August 8th (it's actual release date) including those that Summit Records will distribute to. However, if you'd like to help a starving artist recoup some of the costs in recording this largely collaborative disc, please order through the TubaQuartet.Com site (linked below).
Here's the official press release and a track listing, because none of that information is yet available on the sales page:
"While the literature for the solo tuba is still in its infancy, no other composer has added more works to its standard repertoire, than neo-classic composer, Jan Koetsier. This eclectic recording showcases all seven of Koetsier’s tuneful and sometimes quirky works performed by tubist, Mike Forbes. Throughout the recording, the listener will be enchanted with the collaborative spirit of all the performers involved in pitting the tuba against a brass ensemble, horn quartet, violin, piano, soprano, pipe organ, and string orchestra."
