There is also a trombone version. I have that one and I think that the treble clef version would be of more value as it would sit better on you instrument of choice (be it CC tuba, Eflat, Euphonium, etc.) Its up to you.
Go to a traditionally notated "Liber Usualis" and play to your heart's content. It is THE compilation of plainchant. I use chant with my Tuba/Euph. ensemble to work on intonation. Also get a hold of some church hymnals. Many old hymns are based on chant tunes
