A product called 'Aircraft Stripper'. Buy it at your local Autozone store. Unless you have other projects, just buy the quart size. Wear eye protection and rubber gloves. Just brush it on.... wait 30 minutes or so... and rinse it off with the garden hose. Do it outside... away from the dog and kids! Nasty stuff.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Re: lacquer stripper
The 'Aircraft Stripper' will do the job but it will take a while. Brush the stuff on and wait a couple of hours. Try to keep the stripper from drying out... don't leave it in the hot sun! You might need an 2nd or 3rd application, but eventually the orange King/Eastlake stuff will come off in pieces big enough to clog a drain. If you want a 'quick' stripping media you will have to go with hot caustics. I think Sam Gnagey has a hot tank. Maybe he'll chime in here.tubamirum wrote:I know the question was about Miraphone, but I would like to find a stipper that works for the !@#$@#$%&*^KIng/UMI stuff. Thanks
If you've already applied heat to the 'orange stuff'... like a soldering flame, ... forget it! You'll probably have to buff it off. If you are planning to take a horn apart, the rule is "strip it first"... then make the repairs.
