Arnold Jacobs owned two huge York CC tubas and used them for decades. They were considered to be remarkable instruments, and served as the models for the Holton 345 (which was the model for the Meinl-Weston 2165), the Hirsbrunner HB50 (Yorkbrunner), and the 6/4 Walter Nirschl tuba (first championed by Floyd Cooley). These are remarkable instruments in their own right.
Several years back Yamaha did a precise analysis of the better of the two Yorks and came up with their own CC copy. Jim Self and Gene Pokorny own them, among others, and those who have played them and heard them generally are very impressed. The horns are in limited production and cost well over $20,000. They have recently gone into production as an instrument in Yamaha's Artist line as the YCB-826.
