da sousa and I have exchanged photos of our satin gold Conn 38K sousaphones via email, so I can post photos for him now. So.... here are one of his 1927 satin gold 38K and one of his silver 20K and the 38K side by side:


Both very nice looking horns.
The VERY cool thing is that both of our gold sousas were made in 1927. I guess gold plating was very popular that year? Only mine has a 24" bell while da sousa's has a 26" bell.
