Post by Michael Woods »

Does anyone know how much one of these things goes for and can someone also verify that it has different fingerings then a regular BBb?

I was at Melton yesterday...they charge around 11000 Euros for one and no they have the same fingerings as a normal BBb.

" ... slightly different fingerings ..." :

(I have this dependent 5th valve set-up with my Yamaha YEB-381 Eb tuba, with the long half step 5th valve lengthened to a long whole step by Lee Stofer).

The only place this annoys me is that I cannot use 2,3,5 as a replacement for 2,4 (because 5 does nothing unless 4 is also being used). I'm sure there are other limitations as well. This is the first one I've found, myself.
