Since the composition was published just a few months ago, the only commercial (read: non-bootleg) recording of Philip Sparke's Dances and Alleluias that has been released as of this date is on a DVD entitled "Now That's What I Call Brass! (Vol. 4?)" It's available from www.worldofbrass.com .

You and I are not the only TubeNetters who are working on Dances and Alleluias: Scott Watson, Tony Z, and who else?

It's a great piece, isn't it?

Yup, me too on the D&A by Sparke.

I don't think I've EVER played anything by Sparke that wasn't absolutely challenging, fun, and musically rewarding.

Now, if I could just figure out the choreography with the 12/8 that zips by like a rocket and the mute, I might just be able to hang in there!
