Pt10
Gronitz 125 (? the piston one)
Yamaha 822
I've heard that the MW2182 is awesome
the firebird (miraphone, mirafone?) in gold brass is nice

Go to Dillon when you get a chance, or have them send you some stuff on trial, or custom , I'm not sure where to get a gronitz (Tuba Exchange?) and you can get an 822 pretty much anywhere.

Hi! Make sure you try a Gronitz F (PF-125 or 127) and the new miraphone 281!

I bought my silver pf-125 from Tony Clements in California! Contact him!

I've played both and have listened to Roger Lewis play both -- dramatically different instruments.

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on these two, and what prompted the change? If it were me in this situation, after I tried the 281, I finally found a rotary F tuba with a decent low C, and that would have been a potential motivator to switch to a rotary F -- assuming I also wanted to go to a much brighter sound.
