John Williams

Post by fpoon »

Looking for some John Williams stuff adapted for solo tuba or tuba/euph. ensemble. Not so much the concerto, but excerpts from his movie scores such as Jurassic Park, Close Encounters, Star Wars, E.T., etc.

And as a super longshot, if anyone knows of any Star Trek stuff matching the above description, that would be fun too.

I'm trying to piece a "night at the movies" thing. All suggestion for pieces welcome.

Actually, the Next Generation Theme is the theme for the original Star Trek the Motion Picture, composed by Mr. Goldsmith, with Trek II and III being done by James Horner.

I definitely agree about First Contact, probably the best Trek score.

I play with a trombone choir that does a similar type concert complete with choregraphed films on a big screen once or twice a year. There are some good charts. Some that you have mentioned and some others. Probably 20 in the library. Vince Mull in the director you should contact. His email address is in the website under the about us section. Or PM me.
