I believe this was explained on the website. He was not a bloodline relative. He was a "grandson" in the sense of who studied with whom. I did the Lebedev Concerto (which goes by many names--I played a Russian edition which I bought in East Berlin) for my Senior Recital in college. I didn't know anything about him (Alexei Lebedev) until long after I graduated.
