I thought I would share my amusement from an outdoor concert this evening.
I played in the first number, then was not in for the rest of the first half, so left stage.
When I came back after the interval, this was the scene that greeted me - my tuba surrounded by cellos who obviously took a liking to it

Kind of like moths buzzing around a streetlight...
I hope you were able to shoo them away.

You may be having more success than you think -- instruments don't move by themselves, after all -- maybe they're trying to tell you something?

It may be easier than you think. from my expierence(certainly well below professional level.) Cellists are easy to talk to and believe it or not I have actually found some (all women) who originally wanted to play tuba.
