Miraphine 1291 Bb? And other horns

Post by Davidrn1 »

Has this horn been replaced? I have been out of the loop for a while and I am looking for a replacement for my King 2341(old style).

I have been looking here and on some sites on the web. It seems that most places are not listing the 1291 Bb horns. I find a ton of C listings, no Bb.

Any suggestions on where I can get the best horn for the best deal?

I am also looking at the Willson. Not sure if I can afford it though.

What is the PT-4P selling for? 15K?

Thanks

Of course, the more criteria you give, the better we can help, but,if you want a piston BBb,I really like the new MW HOJO.The one I tried was 4 top action, but the 4 front action ones have recently come in.Try Roger at Tubadome...

I play Dixie and jazz.

Love piston horns. Never really cared for rotors much. I think they are faster but not as clean.

I have played many. Favorite was VMI 3301. I do prefer the older KIng to the newer ones. I had a lot of valve issues with the new one I bought a few years back.

someone in here was selling a 1291 BBb. Loom through the for sale sections.
