It's a little hard to tell from your photo (that's not really a pink background, right?), but I do think you're on the right track.
My guess would be that the yellow would only work as an add-in, maybe with the brown and that the red would need some toning down. I think you might have some very interesting/workable results with the brown and the "green" used sparingly.
At any rate, I truly look forward to results pix.
