David Baker Sonata

Post by Kunzer »

Does anyone know of, or have a recording of the David Baker Sonata for Tuba and String Quartet? It says that it was recorded by Harvey Phillips and The Composers Quartet on Golden Crest Records. Any help would be appreciated.

It was attached to the ITEA Journal from either earlier this year or last year as part of the ITEA Legacy of an Artist series. Talk to Tim I'm sure he has it laying around if the CCM Library doesn't have a copy.

David Baker Sonata

Sonata for Tuba and String Quartet, by David Baker. Harvey Phillips in Recital, Vol. III. Golden Crest CRS-4122. The other side of the LP is Tuba Suite for Solo Tuba and Three French Horns, by Morton Gould. I could get you a copy if you have time to wait. It might be a couple of months before I can get to it.
