Not that I don't love Blue Brothers rap .... but on topic: I'd agree with those who've mentioned the strapped shoulder bag of some kind and most of the goodies in there. Every so often I even bring my lemon pledge along to tidy up if there's extra time. That's right, the horns STILL have lacquer on them, & I try to get them to look their best. And also don't forget the valve oil & slide grease to keep things running smoothly.
Seems that if there is TOO much more than a shoulder-bagful of things to take along, either there's an extended concert series or it's a horn that might use a little time out in the repair shop. But I also bring the water bottle and tuner and minimum other goodies as well. Am finding that, if I include too many things like sodas, burgers, and pizza, not only does the bag tend to bulge a bit, but I also have to bring along a fistful of ants to chase all that stuff out of the horn afterwards ..... and that problem grows exponentially when 20 or 30 of them come rocketing out of the bell at the big FFF entrance ...
