Check out some vocal music. O Holy Night, in the correct key for you and your tuba should work quite nicely. And, if you've got the fingers (I don't!), you could play Why Do the Nations from Messiah, either loco or down an octave.

Oh, Holy Night, in Db....absolutely breathtaking on tuba. You may have to do some rewriting for yourself, but a good organist should be able to handle it, and if the church has an electronic organ, or keyboard, with transposing built in...

BTW, the Schubert "Ave Maria", for those Catholic gigs, is also wonderful in Db. Heck, almost anything in Db is great for tubas...Silent Night...chills, man, chills....

I'll second Daryl's recommendation. That book has some very good arrangements. It also comes with a CD with performance tracks in case you don't have your own piano player who feels up to the part.

If you (or anybody else) are still needing a song for this Sunday I could email you a PDF copy of an arrangement of "O Holy Night" I wrote a few years ago. I wrote it for Bass Trombone and Piano in the key of G, with the highest note being a D above the staff. Just PM me with an email address to send it to.
