I am playing this with orchestra and would like to get an idea of its sonorities with orchestral accompaniment.
What good CDs are there with orchestra?

good Gregson recordings
The album British Tuba Concertos has both the Vaughn-Williams and a Great Recording of the Gregson.

Yes, that's with James Gourlay. I have the "Gourlay Plays Tuba" CD where he plays the Gregson with brass band, but the "British Tuba Concertos" CD has the Gregson with orchestral accompaniment.keegan watson wrote:The album British Tuba Concertos has both the Vaughn-Williams and a Great Recording of the Gregson.
