A few days ago, there was a request for a clean Fountains part. I posted a PDF of the part I made in Finale for free download on the Boulder Brass web site:
http://www.boulderbrass.org
I have also posted a set of exercises I built around Ride of the Valkyries - also a PDF for free download.
There will be a few more free goodies soon.
Enjoy!

Mike, VERY COOL Valkyries excercises.
Two things I've done which helped with the rhythm.
1) Play the rhythm as 8th 16th 16th 8th so, the dotted 8th is split into an articulated 8th and 16th, then the second 16th is the actual 16th note pitch. That almost always necessitates
2) even though the written part has an accent on the dotted 8th, in order to make the 16th speak it MUST have an accent as well.
How many times in recordings does it sound like a quarter-8th triplet figure, no 16th to be heard. Accenting the 16th makes the rhythm SOUND correctly.
Very cool. Thanks for posting them.
