The King is seriously heavy, 4 lbs more than my Besson 943 double independent. I watched her play a 4 hour gig, replete with mute changes and the horn on her face almost the whole time. Look at the picture guys. She looks lilliputian holding that horn. I am still amazed. Played great too. That's why she gets paid and I don't.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

Being away from here for the month of January and the past couple of weeks, I didn't get a chance respond...
When I was in high school, the Antelope Valley High School band was rather large. AVHS was the only high school in Lancaster, California, at that time (small city in the western California desert) and had a bad with about 200 members. For years, there were only female tuba players (8-10 of them) in that band. And they weren't too bad!
