There was a great story on 60 Minutes last night about the power of Music Education in Venezuela. It was a great story on the transformative power of music that we could all stand to see!
I realize that this board may be a bit too crusty and cynical for such a positive spin, but here's the link anyhow!

Crusty? Cynical? What makes you say that? We're all extremely positive about everything. Then you go and post that silly story....Ok. I'm just kidding.
I wanted to watch that but I lost the coin flip on what we were going to watch last night.
Very inspiring!
Miraphone 5050 - Warburton BJ/RF mpc YEP-641S(recently sold), DE mpc (102 rim; I-cup; I-9 shank) Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches: "Always play with a good tone, never louder than lovely, never softer than supported." - author unknown.
I was facinated by the news report last night. Does anyone know why they use basically a double orchestra? It would seem that two regular size groups could cover twice as much ground as one huge group.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
