Double-Buzz

Post by Tubaguyjoe »

I have been having a problem lately with double-buzzing. This happens only on the Bb tuba and only on a couple notes in the middle register. I can usually control it, but can someone help me if they have had the same issues. I'm not a bad player at all and i'm starting auditions this year...but this one small thing happens and i'm not quite sure how to shake it. Happens mostly coming from below and usually only in the louder dynamics. Bruckner 7 is becoming increasingly difficult to sell. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Try the 'search' function (between 'Chat' and 'Memberlist') using "double AND buzz" for some previous thoughts...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

The thing that always worked for me was to get out the mouthpiece collection and use something different enough so that my brain was forced out of whatever bad rut it had gotten itself into.
