From the article:
"Takanishi expects things will move much faster now, because he tackled one of the hardest instruments to play first."

Todd S. "who learned to play flute reasonably well in a summer, and who isn't the brightest bulb in the light fixture" Malicoate

Sheesh, what's next!?
In the write-up they state they've been working on a sax robot. Now THERE they might see an improvement.

Re: but - can it play the piccolo?
This reminds me of a comment one of my old teachers made. A sax player remarked within earshot that his chops were tired after a long rehearsal earlier that day. My teacher's response, "Chops?! You don't need any chops to play the sax. H#@l, I could be three days dead on a slab; you put a sax in my mouth, press down on my belly and I'll sound just like Ornette Coleman."Rick F wrote:Sheesh, what's next!?

Or at least like Charlie Parker; he's living-challenged, too!MikeS wrote:"... H#@l, I could be three days dead on a slab; you put a sax in my mouth, press down on my belly and I'll sound just like Ornette Coleman."
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Which raises the question, which would be worse, an orchestra made up of robots or one made up of reanimated corpses?windshieldbug wrote:
