Music for Two Big Instruments

Hey everyone,

I have just received Music for Two Big Instruments by Alex Shapiro and it did not come with a separate tuba part. Does anyone have this? Thanks.

Isn't this still only available from Ms. Shapiro directly? If you purchased it and were "shorted" the solo part, I'm sure she could happily send you one by snail mail or pdf.

I have it, but I'm not going to Xerox a copy and mail it to you. Completely illegal.

Best of luck finding a pianist, as well...that part is extremely difficult, mostly because of the unusual meter and frequent meter changes. It's very technically demanding, as well, as you can tell if you have the score.

No, I believe both Hickeys and Tuba Euphonium Press sell it now.

I bought it from Hikey's, so I don't think Alex Shapiro would send me anything. Does hickey's do this sort of thing(maybe with a order number)?

Absolutely they will, Brice. I can confirm that you should have received a score and a solo tuba part...I'm sure they will be happy to send you the part you paid for, and likely in an expedited manner. Good luck.

Also good to know that the piece is being distributed from other sources now...it's a very nice piece and deserves some sales. Beware of that piano part, though!
