2003 Junior Fishoff juror?

I have a pianist friend that performed in the Junior Fischoff competition in 2003. One of the judges was a tubist and by all accounts gave notably inciteful feedback. This tubist also gave a masterclass that was very well recieved.

The only description I have is that he was young and had dark hair.

I would really like to know who this might be and make contact.

Any helpful thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
