Kyle Turner in recital

Post by JayW »

Had the pleasure of hearing my former teacher Kyle Turner on saturday afternoon at Montclair State U. (NJ) and just wanted to drop a note saying how wonderful it was. He played exceptionally well, and was able to really draw in the crowd with his humor as well. Great job Kyle ! I am looking forward to his solo CD in January

I definitely have to agree. The performance was amazing, very inspirational. I'm glad he showed his personality, it really made the audience have more fun and feel more connected. An all around great OcTUBAFest.

Uhm....what did he play? I know it was the tuba, but what specific pieces. Can you give us a run down on equipment, anything special about anything he played, did he premiere any works. Thanks in advance....

I wish I could have been there to hear the recital. I know Kyle was a very fine player even while he was still in high school. Thanks, Kyle, for being part of the tuba team. I hope you get to play back closer to your old home, sometime.
